Seascape House, Margate

This late Victorian, regency-style, town house has undergone a meticulous complete refurbishment to the highest standard.

The house consists of 4 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, front facing balcony, a gym or cinema area with separate access (to be decided by purchaser), a sauna & wellness area, a glass framed sun terrace, a laundry shoot, a large kitchen with adjoining glass conservatory area, a formal dining room and a drawing room linked with pocket-close double doors.

The ground floor leads into a private, good-sized garden with decked area, it also has the option to have a detached purpose built studio or garden office with WC facility.

The house is fully re-plumbed with a state of the art German central heating and hot water system by ‘Viessman’. One feature – if the outside temperature drops below a certain temperature, the system kicks in and brings the house back up to the temperature you have set the thermostat too – keeping it a constant.

Electrically, the whole house is re-wired, with media cabling for SmartTV.

The house has been fitted with top quality luxury sanitary-ware including Roca, Grohe, Vado, Duravit and Ideal standard.

The sauna – there are great health benefits to cold sea swimming and then having a sauna – Seascape House offers both!

The high-spec kitchen is a bespoke design, produced and fitted by Krieder. It boasts quartz worktops with a carrara marble island unit, all the latest Seimans appliances including a coffee machine, 2 fridges, ice making machine, steam oven, electric oven and induction hob. All appliances have full guarantees. Seascape house has the added novelty of a laundry shoot, which runs from the top floor into the basement where the laundry facilities are based. Hardwood oak flooring runs throughout the house.

All new purpose made hardwood, double-glazed sliding sash windows, have been installed, which are pressure treated and have a Marine Paint finish system. The whole property is insulated to the highest degree, including floors, to current ‘new house’ regulations.

Seascape house has been re-roofed in traditional new slate, all existing timber work has been treated against future rot and wood boring beetle.

Our design department have chosen finishes that are sympathetic to the style and feel of the property. All stone, ceramics and finishes are of a high standard and create a beautiful and calming atmosphere within the property.

Fibrous mouldings i.e. cornices and ceiling roses have been recast from the original pieces and have been replaced, as before, to all rooms.

Seascape house carries a Grade II Listing. The house offers outstanding accommodation and uninterrupted sea views, 2-minute walk from Margate Train Station, which houses the fast-link train service to London St Pancras.
